The Elimination Diet is not a diet to be done on your own or for a long time since it is too restrictive. This is a temporary diet to identify your unique food triggers, if any.
The duration is typically 3 weeks but differs for every person.
Initially, symptoms may worsen briefly due to withdrawal from certain foods.
Low FODMAP Diet
A low Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides, and Polyols (FODMAP) diet is one that is especially useful when someone has persistent digestive symptoms such as bloating, burping, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and gas.
Food & Symptom Log
Test one food, drink or supplement at a time, in purest form (not mixed with other foods or spices). Keep track of your symptom for 3 days. If no reaction, then this food is likely safe and can be added to your diet.
